Attention Parents & Guardians of NESS Grade 10 – 12 Students
A Play with Music: Love Bomb – September 27, 2017
Please be advised that there will be a live musical theater performance on September 27, 2017 at NESS for grades 10 – 12 students entitled “Love Bomb”.
The play “Love Bomb” focuses on the very serious subject matter of sex trafficked youth in Canada. While human trafficking is an international pandemic covering many areas and sub-divided issues, this performance will focus on the underage exploitation of local youth into the regional sex trade.
Sex Trafficking is occurring all around us and is more common than we think. Many people may have experienced this or know someone who has. Others while they may not have been trafficked, may have experienced or know someone who has experienced similar manipulation and/or violence.” (Teacher Guide for Love Bomb)
During the theatrical presentation, there will be a significant amount of profanity used by the actors/musicians. NESS does not condone the use of profanity but is allowing it for this very sensitive topic, which is considered to be an important piece of education for our youth, for their awareness and safety. This production is being shown to various school districts and audiences throughout BC and the USA.

You are more than welcome to attend the performances: Grades 10 – 12 at 10:00 am and will be showcased again at 1:00 pm for adults of the community in the NESS Gym. If you do not want your child to attend this performance, please advise the school.
